Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. We’re working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms—and we’re looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.
While Square is best known for the Point of Sale applications that run natively on iOS, Android and Square-branded hardware devices, Square’s mission is that “everyone should be able to participate and thrive in the economy.” This includes merchants for whom it does not make sense to purchase a dedicated device to accept payments. Enter the Virtual Terminal product, owned by the Web Point of Sale team, which allows merchants to take payments through a web interface on the computers they already own and use to run their businesses.

You’ll be a key part of the D10X team based in NY, but part of a wider global team in New York, Dublin, Singapore, and Shanghai.
Primarily you’ll be rapidly prototyping new products to test important customer features or demonstrate to key stakeholders. This will likely involve a lot of frontend-heavy work, but also a considerable amounts of data manipulation techniques – even some ML where it’s needed.
It’s important to remember that Citi is one of the world’s biggest banks, and we’re regulated. As such, we need to make sure our apps are enterprise-ready, secure and compliant, but lightweight and fit-for-purpose. We’ll help guide you through this if you’ve not done it before.
We’re looking for a well-rounded individual who’s not afraid to roll their sleeves up. We use some exciting tools and technologies – ideally you’ll know some, but we want you to be excited about what we’re doing.
We think you’ll be the definition of a “full stack developer”, and have cut your teeth on relational and non-relational data, front end frameworks, and APIs and microservices. We appreciate that might seem like a lot, but this is a varied role that will require diving into all areas, so even if you don’t have the direct experience you should be comfortable with uncertainty and be excited to learn.
We’re looking to expand our global team’s development standards and best practices, so we’re looking for someone who’s excited by driving quality code, reviews, testing (at all stages), and continuous integration and deployment.
D10X offers a wide scope to solve problems for our clients, and you should be adaptable and resourceful, with a strong, team-based, work ethic. As a global team, verbal and written communication skills are vital.
We’re looking for entrepreneurial software engineers who are motivated by our mission to simply healthcare. We’re building an API layer that powers the workflows of healthcare providers, care navigation platforms, health plans, and emerging digital health companies. You’ll be involved throughout the product lifecycle and collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand our customers’ use cases and challenges, and build products to solve them.
We are looking for software engineers at all levels, from entry to senior/staff level.
Software Engineer (Fullstack)
Before the dawn of everything internet, insurance was intimate and personal. You walked down the street to chat with your broker, and the risk to your business, your livelihood, was covered with a handshake. Today things are different. The average insurance policy for a mom-and-pop store trades through a dozen different hands and traverses a maze of systems and processes. Few are accountable and fewer know the whole story.
This is just a taste of the type of big problem we want you to solve. We seek a software engineer to help drive a digital product team on a mission to bring a new type of interaction to a market once exclusively driven by in-person relationships.
As a member of a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, designers, and product managers, you’ll provide input and have your voice heard on key product decisions, and the tools and resources to build and ship ideas quickly. You’ll be a part of a startup-like environment in a company with thousands of existing customers.
Who you are
Like Git? Great. Have a favorite data store? Front-end framework? Way of working? Propose it! We believe that a collaborative technology team focused on outcomes is capable of making rational decisions based on system-risk, ramp-up time and ease-of-use. Utility trumps novelty..
Some signs you might be ready:
You’re comfortable with ambiguity and you accept the challenge of figuring it out. You’re more than a coder; you’re someone who knows how to deliver. You want to work with a cross-functional team to design a solution as well as implement it. You put users first and actively seek user feedback. You build to learn. You understand the role of validation and its place in the product development process. You're deeply familiar with at least one programming language and its ecosystem, and you're comfortable learning others. You value repeatability and automation. Automated testing and infrastructure as code are a way of life. You're comfortable reading and debugging code written by others, and you write your own code to allow others to do the same. To that end, you appreciate the value of common standards. You can recognize common code smells, and you know how to address them. You understand design patterns and know when and how to apply them. You view security as a first-class concern. You can recognize common application vulnerabilities, and you know how to remediate them. You look forward to having your work reviewed...and reviewing the work of others. What you’ll own
While we don't expect you to be an expert in all of our tools, the ideal candidate will be familiar with most on day one. Over your first few months, you'll become comfortable working with nearly all of them.
Applicants: If manually entering, only include your most recent or relevant job information needed for this role. For either method, please attach your most current resume. Additional job history may be obtained if selected for the interview process.

To provide a missing pillar of core internet infrastructure, we hire people with a broad set of technical skills (and from a wide variety of backgrounds) who are ready to take on some of the most challenging problems in the industry – from reliably handling 100M API requests per day, to building adaptive machine learning as a result of years of data science and infrastructure work, and enabling entrepreneurs worldwide to start global internet businesses.
We look at Stripe as a constant work in progress and the same is true of our people; for all of us, we believe the best is yet to come. We’re here to support each other in our curiosity and creativity – which we pursue through thoughtful discussion and knowledge sharing among a diverse set of peers and colleagues.
We encourage all engineers to transition teams once every year and a half and also take on short-term projects with other teams across Stripe. This not only enables engineers to learn how different parts of Stripe work, but also establishes stronger ties and cross-pollination between groups. We contribute to existing open-source projects and sponsor the people working on them, and we release several tools as open source.
We want to work in a company of warm, inclusive people who treat their colleagues exceptionally well. The kind of people who are committed to going out of their way to help other Stripes in the short-term and to push them to improve over the long-term (by helping them to get better at what they do). We’re a highly cross-functional organization and view that as part of the fun: we design our space to encourage as much collaboration as possible. We have long tables in the kitchen for a reason (to enable everyone to meet new people and learn from them). We also have a culture of transparency that we carry through to email communication, ensuring that Stripes all around the world have the information they need to make good local decisions.
In both our products and our people, we aim to reflect, represent and advocate for all of our users, globally. Our users transcend geography, culture, and language; what we share, collectively, is a drive to create a fairer, more economically interconnected world.
Banking Platform is crucial in helping Stripe globalize its payout capabilities by building the interfaces that allows users as well internal Stripe teams to move money. As a platform company powering businesses all over the world, Stripe processes payments, runs marketplaces, detects fraud, helps entrepreneurs start an internet business from anywhere in the world, builds world-class developer-friendly APIs, and more. We are currently on an inflection point thinking on how we make the platform 10x better.
The Banking Platform team works to ensure money gets to its destinations safely, reliably and in a cost effective manner. As Stripe expands globally, we realize that we haven’t won yet, and know that successfully being able to take pay out to different countries is crucial to our progress in economic globalization. We’re investing in the Banking Platform team to run the infrastructure that supports a wide variety of bank payouts and payment methods. You’ll help abstract the rails for money and movement while rigorously understanding properties such as speed, cutoff, currency and fees.
We are looking for a candidate with critical thinking, ability to design from first principles and experience on distributed systems; you’re comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces; you have exquisite attention to detail; and you’re comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
You may be fit for this role if you:
It’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas. For instance, we have wonderful team members who are really focused on their customers’ needs and building amazing user experiences, but didn’t work on APIs before joining Stripe.

But we're just getting started…
We’re about to revolutionize online education by creating the most engaging online courses in the world. And we’re well on our way to accomplish this ambitious goal...
You’ll see proof as you scroll down this page.
Of course, we can’t deliver a great learning experience without great front-end development.
And that’s why we want to hire another front-end developer. But what’s in it for you?
We create our own tech solutions to specifically meet the needs of our customers.
For example, we’ve built an industry-leading checkout system and our own online learning platform. Redesigning our website using AMP is the next big project in our backlog.
We already have over a hundred thousand photographers as paying customers. At this scale, even small improvements in the front end will lead to massive benefits for our company.
That’s why you’ll never have to lower your standards to meet an unrealistic deadline.
Join our team, and you'll be able to do the best work of your life!
Why would you waste your time on tasks that have nothing to do with the front end?
All designs will be created by our talented in-house designer. Yes, he designed this page.
Our back-end team will handle DevOps, and they’ll be available whenever you need them.
By focusing on what you do best, you’ll become the best developer you can be!
