The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) is an independent public body that selects judges in the courts and tribunals, and non-legal tribunal members. The JAC selects judicial candidates through fair and open competition, encouraging a wide range of quality candidates to apply for the posts that it advertises.
The JAC is responsible for designing, planning and running recruitment campaigns to select judicial office holders up to and including the High Court. We have a statutory duty to select solely on merit, while keeping our selection processes open to the widest range of applicants. Being a small public-sector body your work as a developer will have immediate and visible impacts on both the project and on the experiences of operational colleagues. We are currently designing and building a new digital service platform with a Firebase vue.js tech stack.
These roles would suit newly qualified or relatively inexperienced developers looking for a role that includes a clear development commitment combined with the opportunity to make a real difference to the experiences of our users from day one. We will support occasional secondments to other digital employers to broaden your skills set and will help you develop your stakeholder management, digital collaboration and technical skills. We expect junior developers to stay in the JAC for at least 12 months.

As a Junior Developer you will help to develop the digital platform that delivers services to our users, and you will:
